The judging

The 2016 competition judging was held in 2 parts…

9^th  June – at the London Produce Show, The Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane, London

16^th  June – at the South African High Commission, Trafalgar Square, London  (The finalist collages were exhibited and judged at a huge commemoration to make the 40^th anniversary of ‘Youth Day’, a public holiday in South Africa that remembers a protest which resulted in a wave of protests across the country known as the Soweto Uprising of 1976)

We had a total of 34 judges, all from different backgrounds: journalists, South African fruit growers and importers, Stefan Gates, English schoolchildren, South African diplomats, and many others.
